Dakota Ridge trail group hike
We took a group hike in North Dinosaur Park on the western suburbs of Denver. It's a quick and easy drive from downtown. There is a front range mountain ridge that juts up before heading further into the Rockies. The Dakota Ridge trail goes along the top of this park and ridge. It overlooks Interstate 70, Interstate 470, Green Mountain park to the east, and Red Rocks park and amphitheater to the west. Here are some of our views:
This was near the start of the trail and is looking west over the parking lot and onto I-70 heading into the Rockies.
The trail heading from one peak to the next.
Looking into Red Rocks park and the line of cars getting in for a concert that night.
That is a panoramic of the area from the top of the hike, near sunset that night.
